3 Potent Supplements to Stay Healthy this Winter Season

It is that time of the year! Viruses are running amuck and wreaking havoc on immune systems. Luckily, there are potent and powerful natural remedies to help us make it through the cold and flu season. So strap in, we have some remedies to tell you about.

First up is our personal favorite,

Fire Cider

Fire cider has been in the spotlight lately in the wellness industry, and rightfully so. This tonic's base is apple cider vinegar (ACV). ACV is a fermented liquid that contains beneficial bacteria for your gut called probiotics. Probiotics have been shown to support the immune system, especially in times of illness. Combining the potent apple cider vinegar with herbs, spices, and vegetables, results in a powerful tonic packed with immune-boosting qualities.

Zinc

Zinc is an essential mineral that plays a crucial role in supporting our immune system. During the cold and flu season, zinc can help to keep our bodies healthy and strong by protecting us from illness. This mineral works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria and viruses. It can also help reduce inflammation and boost the production of immune cells. By taking a daily high-potency zinc supplement or incorporating foods and herbs rich in zinc into your diet, such as oysters, chickpeas, and holy basil (tulsi), you can help support your body's natural defenses against colds and flu.

Echinacea

Echinacea is a popular herbal remedy often used to treat colds and flu. This plant, also known as purple coneflower, contains compounds that may boost the immune system and help the body fight illness. Echinacea is most effective when taken at the first sign of a cold or flu, and it can be found in many forms, such as teas, tinctures, and capsules. By incorporating echinacea into your wellness routine during cold and flu season, you can help to support your body's natural defenses and reduce the severity and duration of your symptoms.

Fire cider is my fav! I usually keep marshmallow root handy for those dry coughs that won't go away.
